DAY 59

We slept late this morning, as Toby was feeling ill during the night, and woke us up frequently. Poor old kitty. I spent what was left of the morning finishing up my investment file updates. Not very good stock market performance over the last 8 weeks, since we started this adventure ! Our "nest egg" has declined in value over $30,000. Joanne thinks we should just spend it faster, to reduce the risk of just losing it in the stock market. Somehow the logic of that escapes me.

This afternoon we went with Sharon and Bud to see / explore St. Malo Provincial Park about 50 km. south of here on Hwy.59. Sharon wanted us to see it as she thought it might be a good place to take Madeleine and Amelia. She was right. Nice park with a good beach and great playground areas, nice campground ( although I suspect that the Carlson girls may not really be too eager to go camping again ), lots of short hiking trails, a snack bar, mini-golf, etc.. Perhaps it would be a good choice for a day trip. Just outside the park, we stopped at a craft / gift store Sharon wanted to visit, where we bumped into Joanne's cousin, Jacqueline Gosselin, and her husband Régis. Jacquie and Joanne are the same ages, and grew up as childhood friends as well as cousins.

We explored the "scenic route / back roads" on our return drive to Lorette.

After we got back "home", Bud came into the trailer with the partially completed folding laptop desk he is making for the trailer, to measure and fit. It's looking really good. It's going to be a beautiful and extremely functional addition to the trailer.

After supper, it was back to the computer for the rest of the evening. Accounting, journal, letters, etc..
