DAY 32
Left Rushing River Provincial Park this morning, on the "home stretch" quite literally. Extreme difficulty getting out of the campsite, and campground. I can't help but notice that almost no rigs the size of ours are in the Provincial and State park campgrounds, opting instead for the "big rig" friendliness of the privately owned campgrounds. The Provincial and State park campgrounds just don't seem to be designed to handle rigs as big as ours.
Stopped in Kenora for groceries, and diesel fuel. Crossed the border from Ontario back into Manitoba. After 16 1/2 years, welcome home !
Arrived at my sister Sharon's home late afternoon, in Lorette, just outside Winnipeg. Spent the rest of the day visiting with Sharon, and her husband Bud. Met their new 10 week old kitten, Lilly. Introduced Lilly to Toby and Teddy. A traumatic experience for all concerned. Stupid cats ! Sat in the backyard gazebo all evening visiting and eating fresh strawberries, waiting for their teenage daughter Andrea to return home from her part time summer job around midnight.
Nice to be "home" ! It's been a long journey.
