DAY 13
Gee ... another warm, sunny day. Got up early, had breakfast, had a cup of coffee, went back to sleep. HA HA HA !
Spent most of today doing trailer and truck maintenance chores. Mid-afternoon, went for a long walk on the beach. The beaches on the north shore of Lake Erie rival those on the west coast of Florida, on the Gulf Of Mexico. Soft, white sand, clear warm water. Mild breeze, just enough to cool the blazing sun.
Walked along the beach all the way to Rock Point, hence the name of the Provincial Park. Rock Point is ... well ... a rocky point, with lots of fossils visible. Returned to the trailer to sit outside in the folding chairs for awhile, eating a snack, then we brought the cats outside for some fresh air. They seem to have come to expect a daily outing since we have been living in the trailer. Took Toby for a slow, leisurely walk, allowing him to explore around the campground while connected to us with a long rope.
Made supper with Joanne. We're a good team. We're having a lot of fun doing this, and really enjoy being with one another. I cooked my famous fresh pickerel recipe, with the fish we bought yesterday in Port Stanley.
I'm typing this right after supper, as I continue to procrastinate working on our three companies' fiscal year ends. Guess I'd better go start. ( SIGH )
