DAY 2

Woke up today feeling depressed. Completely inexplicable ! Must be a symptom of anxiety. Maybe fatigue. Didn't sleep particularly well. Joanne kept me up half the night with what must have been a mild case of food poisoning. She was ill for half the night.

Spent WAYYY too long on the pay phone with Cecil first, then Samantha, at Bell Mobility getting the new cell phone number activated. GRRRRR ! ! ! Since all the arrangements were made two weeks ago, I expected a simple process of phoning them, giving them the new cell phone number already assigned, and some techno-geek pushes an "on" button. But ... NOOOO ...

45 minutes, mostly on hold, while Cecil tries to avoid doing his job, then his supervisor Samantha actually gets the job done, but only by recruiting another geek from "technical support" to help her. SHEESH !

Mid-afternoon we were picked up by Brian Malley, and taken on a driving tour of Kingston before going to his house for dinner with him and his wife Joyce. Brian and Joyce have owned a PET VALU store in Kingston for about 16 or 17 years. They were one of the first ten franchisees in the PET VALU system. Joyce is mostly retired now. Brian still takes care of much of the administration side of the business, while their son Jason operates the store on a day to day basis.

We had a very lovely visit, chatting over dinner about PET VALU, and our new life as full time RV travellers. On the way back to the campground, we stopped to see their store. We had not seen their new location since they relocated and expanded about 3 years ago. Best looking PET VALU store we've ever seen and we certainly have seen a lot of them. Showed them the rig when we got back here to Rideau Acres. "It ain't your father's tent trailer" ( with apologies to Oldsmobile ).

Was great seeing them, and saying farewell. Another addition to the "postcard list".
