DAY 4

Woke up late this morning to another beautiful weather day. Showered, dressed, had breakfast, went out to buy a bit more groceries. This lifestyle is conducive to shopping for less groceries, more frequently. By the time we returned from grocery shopping, another few rigs had arrived for the Escapees Ontario Chapter Spring Rally.

Had lunch, then took our laundry over to the campground laundromat for washing and drying.

We joined the circle of lawn chairs, chatting with the group, which got larger and larger as the day wore on, and more and more rigs arrived.

By suppertime, there were about a dozen rigs, and two dozen people. After supper, I started a campfire for the group. My contribution to this outing is to supply the firewood, and make a campfire each evening. We have quite a bit of firewood left in the yard, seasoned for 6 years, since the ice storm of '98 which destroyed a lot of trees, and produced a lot of firewood. We were happy to bring a large load of wood in the back of Dee Dee. Otherwise, the firewood would just remain in our yard, as a bonus for the buyer of our house. Might as well use as much as we could load into the truck.

So ... most of the day was spent lazing around in a folding chair, chatting with the group, drinking a couple of beers. Renewed some acquaintances we made last September. Made some new acquaintances. Learned a lot about the RV lifestyle.

Nice work if you can get it !
