DAY 6
Awoke this morning at 5:15 A.M.. Decided not to roll over and go back to sleep, determined to adjust to "Escapee time". Warm, sunny morning. Walked over to campground shower house to shower, so as not to wake up Joanne. Showered, dressed, coffee made, ready to rock and roll by 6:45 A.M.. Don't think I can maintain this schedule for very long !
The morning was taken up with a 5 km. hike on the Rideau Trail, led by our Rally Master, Don Mitchell.
The afternoon was a 3 hour boat tour of the Thousand Islands. Had difficulty staying awake. Actually fell asleep a few times. Hot, sunny day. Fresh air. Boat rocking gently. ZZZZZ !
Pot Luck dinner. Campfire. Too tired to type tragic story of Don Mitchell's first wife. Remind me tomorrow. WOW ... small world ! Found out Chuck and Bev Bishop lived in the Marion Apartments on Marion Street in St. Boniface in the mid to late 60's, a couple of blocks from where both our childhood homes were ; me on Enfield Crescent, Joanne on Bertrand Street.
10:40 P.M.. Can't stay awake !
